My tests were high and now I am testing at home for 2 weeks. My fasting sugar level was normal but my post drink test was high 10.2 obviously a different scale that you have. They don't want it to be higher than 7.8 but the low 8's is ok. I have tested for a week at home and it is always below 7.5 so I am good. I just watch what I eat, no raw sugar and no white pasta or bread.
References :
28 weeks pregnant

I had gestational diabetes with my second child. The doctor had me check my blood sugar with a meter 4 times a day. Once when I woke up and then after my 3 main meals. He wanted it to be under 100. I had to keep a log and was able to control it with my diet. Very little carbs and sugar. I was really scared at first but it turned out okay. My daughter was perfect and went to 39 weeks, she was 8lbs 4ozs. My first baby I did not have gestational diabetes and she was 8lbs 10ozs!!!
Also taking your blood sugar at home does not hurt as bad as when they poke your finger in the DR.'s office. It is vicious at the doctors but it barely hurts at all when you have the correct equipment.
Good luck!!!
References :
My life!!

175 is pretty high.. they dont want a womans blood sugar level to be above 140 after that test.. i just took mine yesterday.. and they didn't tell me what it was since i passed.. they only tell you if you failed.. just tell her to really stick to her diet they give her for the three hour glucose and hopefully she passes. Gestational diabetes can be well controlled if you can know about it and stick to a diet.. and she might pass the second one. I wish her luck.
