Yes to both. The thyroid controls a lot of a females hormones which will cause extreme mood swings and if she is having highs and lows with her sugar this will do cause extreme mood swings.

    If she’s having extreme mood swings, then take to doctor to have her checked out. I’d say she’s just a regular, every day, normal 13 year old. My eldest was the same way, and frankly still is. Hormones does weird things to some people, and your child could be one of them.
