Does Glucotrol for type 2 diabetes cause weight gain?


If you blood glucose levels are ok and you’re gaining weight than cut down a bit on the sulfanylurea since it’s making your pancreas make too much insulin which keeps you hungry .
(seriously!!)

    No, it is not noted as an adverse reaction or side effect of the drug use.

    My husband has been taking glucotrol for 6 months and has not gained weight. He has actually lost weight due to diet change and exercise, but no ill effects from the glucotrol.
