Does type 2 diabetes cause bed wetting?
Certain medicine can cause bed wetting. Like the medicine that they took off the market AVADIA. I have problem with it when I was taking it, among other side effects. Still suffering a little from it after 2 years of stopping – but no bed wetting after I stopped.

Type II Diabetes Mellitus per se does not cause bed wetting. But if the sugar is uncontrolled it will produce polyurea (which is increased urine output). In some patients especially old it may produce bed wetting. In long standing Diabetes neuropathy can develop which may cause the sensation of urination to be diminished. So it may also cause bed wetting.
But it is uncommon for just Diabetes to cause bed wetting. It is better to look for other causes if there is bed wetting. Better to check with a Urologist.

No it doesn’t cause bed wetting but if your sugar level is high, you will have to ‘go’ a lot more than if your sugar level was in a normal range. Therefor, if you are a hard sleeper, and your sugar is high and you REALLY have to pee, you might have an accident.
