Type 1 diabetes is a genetic condition, you’re born with it or you develop it at a young age. These people are insulin dependent. Type 2, also known as the late onset diabetes, is usually associated with people who are overweight and have too high blood sugar. They are two essentially different diseases. Type 2 is reversible.

Type 2 syptoms:
* Feeling thirsty.
* Having to urinate more than usual.
* Feeling more hungry than usual.
* Losing weight without trying to.
* Feeling very tired.
* Feeling cranky.
Other signs of type 2 diabetes may include:
* Infections and cuts and bruises that heal slowly.
* Blurred vision.
* Tingling or numbness in your hands or feet.
* Trouble with skin, gum, or bladder infections.
* Vaginal yeast infections.
Type 1 symptoms:
-frequent urination
-# Extreme thirst and a dry mouth.
# Weight loss.
# Increased hunger (possibly).
# Flushed, hot, dry skin.
# Loss of appetite, abdominal pain, and vomiting.
# A strong, fruity breath odor (similar to nail polish remover or acetone).
# Rapid, deep breathing.
# Restlessness, drowsiness, difficulty waking up, confusion, or coma

Kinda depends on your age. Usually type 1 is childhood onset and type 2 is adult onset.
In my case, I had a weakness that turned into diabetes after brain trauma when I was 22. I didn’t find out that I had type 1 diabetes until I was 31 when my body was destroying itself. Nobody wishes they were me.

Symptoms and treatment of diabetes
With the rise of adult and childhood obesity in North America, we as a culture are seeing a big jump in obesity-related diseases, including diabetes. Over 7 percent of the United States population suffers from diabetes, and 6.2 million people who have the disease don’t realize that they have it.

What is diabetes?
Diabetes mellitus is a pancreatic disorder, where the body cannot produce or process insulin. Insulin is used by the body to break down blood sugars and starches into energy. Although the exact cause of the disease is unknown, it is thought that the increase in obesity and inactivity in today’s culture is increasing the incidence of diabetes. Genetics is also a big factor in who will get the disease.
There are two types of diabetes: type 1 and type 2.
Type 1 diabetes
This type of diabetes used to be known as juvenile diabetes, because it’s usually diagnosed in children and in young adults. In this form of the disease, the body does not produce insulin at all.
Symptoms of type 1 diabetes include:
Nausea and vomiting
Frequent urination, with large amounts of urine being produced at one time
Unexplained weight loss
Irritability
Fatigue
A sweet or acetone smell to the breath
There is no cure for this type of diabetes, but you can keep it under control by supplying the body with the right amount of insulin through pumps, injections or pen injections. Monitoring the blood sugar level is extremely important for people with type 1. If the blood sugar level is even a little bit off, complications can occur which are sometimes fatal.
Type 2 diabetes
This type of diabetes is more common. Insulin is continuing to be produced, but it’s not being properly used in the body. This type of diabetes normally occurs later in life.
Symptoms of type 2 diabetes include:
Slow-healing cuts and bruises
Recurrent infections of the gums, bladder and skin
Itchy skin
Frequent need to urinate
Increased thirst
Tingling in the hands or feet
Fatigue or blurred vision
High blood pressure
Impotence
Worsening eyesight
Angina or heart attacks
Treatment
Treatment often includes oral medications or insulin shots, but depending on how severe the symptoms are, type 2 diabetes care can simply include more exercise and a healthy diet plan. Diabetes supplies are available from several online manufacturers and also medical supply stores. For both types of the disease, a doctor will diagnose and then recommend a treatment plan. Resources for diabetics can be found online, at hospitals and in support groups in your particular area.

The symptoms are the same for both types of diabetes. A person can have severe weight loss with both kinds of diabetes. In some cases a person with undiagnosed diabetes will gain some weight. (this is caused by the diabetes itself) A type 2 diabetic can be just as "thin" as a person with type 1. Everyone likes to stereotype a type 2 as being overweight, eating the wrong food, and being inactive. This is not true. Less than half type 2 diabetics are or ever have been overweight. Some gained weight when they developed the disease, but lose it again when treatment starts. Most type 2′s lose weight before they are diagnosed, some have severe weight loss. Here are the sypmtoms of both types of diabetes. (the most common ones)
Constant thirst
Frequent urination
Sweet smelling urine
Constant hunger
Headaches
Nausea or vomiting
Irritability
Unexplained weight gain or loss
Blurry vision
Itching skin with no rash
Reoccurring yeast infections in women
Itching penis in men (yeast infection)
Slow healing wounds
Leg cramps
Burning, tingling sensations in hands, arms, legs, and feet.
Ally H is extremely uninformed and misguided. Type 2 diabetes is no more reversible or curable than type one. Neither type can be cured…only well controlled. Some type 2 diabetics can control their disease for many years by diet and exercise. But because diabetes is a progressive disease, these people usually end up taking medications later on. Once you have type 2, you have it for life. The only cure to date for either type of diabetes is a pancreas transplant.

In type 1, the pancreas stop producing insulin, due to autuimmune response or possibly viral attack on pancreas. In absence of insulin, body cells does not get glucose for producing ATP (Adenosin Triphosphate) units which results into primary symptom in the form of nausea and vomiting. In latter stage which leads to ketoacidosis in which body starts breaking down muscle tissue and fat for energy, there is consequently fast weight loss. Dehydration is also usually observed due to electrolyte disturbance. In advance stages even coma and death, are being witnessed.
Diabetes Type 2:
* Increased fatigue : Due to inefficiency of cell to metabolise glucose, reserve fat of body is metabolised to gain energy. When fat is broken down in the body, it uses more energy as compared to glucose, hence body goes in negative calorie effect, which results in fatigue.
* Polydipsia : As the concentration of glucose increases in the blood, brain receives signal for diluting it and in its counteraction we feel thirsty.
* Polyuria: Increase in urine production is the result seen when excess of glucose is present in body. Body tries to get rid of the extra sugar in the blood by excreting it through the urine. This can also lead to dehydration because excreting the sugar which carries a large amount of water out of the body along with it.
* Polyphegia : The hormone insulin is also responsible for stimulating hunger. In order to cope up with high sugar levels in blood, body produces insulin which leads to increased hunger.
* Weight flactuation : Factors like loss of water (polyuria), glucosuria , metabolism of body fat and protein may lead to loss of weight. Few cases may show weight gain due to increased appetite.
* Blurry vision : Hyperosmolar hyperglycemia nonketotic syndrome is the condition when body fluid is pulled out of tissues including lenses of eye, which affects the ability of lenses to focus resulting in blurry vision.
* Irritability : It is one of the sign of high blood sugar because of the inefficient supply of glucose to brain and other body organs, which makes us feel tired and uneasy.
* Infections : Certain signals from the body is given whenever there is fluctuation of blood sugar (due to suppression of immune system) by frequent infections of fungal or bacterial like skin infection or UTI (urinary tract infection).
* Poor wound healing : High blood sugar resists the flourishing of WBC, (white blood cell) which are responsible for body immune system. When these cells do not function accordingly, wound healing is not at good pace. Secondly, long standing diabetes leads to thickening of blood vessels which may affect proper circulation of blood in different body parts.
good luck my friend
